HIGH SPEED CAMERAS
A high-speed camera is a device capable of capturing moving images with exposures of less than 1/1,000 second or frame rates over 250 frames per second. It is used for recording fast-moving objects as photographic images onto a storage medium. After recording, high-speed cameras can store the images on the medium can be played back in slow motion. Early high-speed cameras used film to record high-speed events.
pco. high-speed cameras record high-resolution imaging at extremely fast recording time, making it the perfect camera to have for material testing, external crash testing & super slow-motion videos. There are four different series in this category; pco.dimax cs, pco.dimax S, pco.dimax HS & pco.1200. To have a better understanding of high-speed cameras, click here.

pco.dimax cs
The pco.dimax cs camera series has been specifically designed for harsh and demanding applications; inter alia, vehicle crash tests or microscopy experiments. The cameras are compacted, lightweight and ruggedized, allowing for being mounted in a multitude of positions (onboard, off-board).
The pco.dimax cs1 can achieve amazing frame rates of up to 3086 fps at a resolution of 1296 x 1024 pixels. Excellent light sensitivity & outstanding image quality classify the slow motion videos for precise analysis and measurements. The pco.dimax cx series is also compatible with multiple lens mounts (incl. electronic lens control).HD-SDI video output, and the automatic image calibration feature make the cameras a versatile and powerful tool. |

pco.dimax S
The pco.dimax S series provides super slow motion with high resolutions for a variety of applications.
S1 delivers exciting frame rates in combination with high light sensitivity and high dynamic range. Using a combination of special optical filters & an optimized colour-calibration; the dimax S series achieves an excellent sRGB image quality, reaching a high-quality grade of 83 SMI for ISO Standard 1732. (matching high-end digital cameras with typical 75 to 90 SMI) The image data can be transferred via Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 or Camera Link interface. A diversity of trigger and synchronization possibilities makes the pco.dimax a real multi-tool. |
