Intrinsically Safe
Modelled after best selling Model 3, LUDLUM continued the series that are designed and tested to USA standards for intrinsic safety, permitting it to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The Model 25-IS and Model 25-IS-1 are intrinsically safe versions of the Model 25 Series Personal Radiation Monitors. They are small, rugged devices designed to warn emergency response personnel of any dangerous radiation fields that they may encounter, and are certified for use in areas where explosion safety is a concern. |

Ion Chambers
The Ludlum Model 9DP Series pressurized ion chamber meter provides highly sensitive measurements of exposure and exposure rate. It can simultaneously display the exposure rate and integrated value, or the highest rate seen by the instrument. Contact us for the HAZMAT Series that provides ICRU-Based Ambient Dose Measurements.
The Model 9-4 & 9-3 uses rugged air ionisation chamber for performing beta-gamma dose rate measurements over a five-decade spanning over a wide radiation range. The chamber wall (including the instrument case) is 1000 mg/cm2. A 1000 mg/cm2 retractable beta shield allows beta measurement with a 7 mg/cm2 window. The Ludlum Model 9-7 Ion Chamber Display Unit is a digital readout and control unit that can be attached to any compatible ion chamber (sold separately). This instrument provides remote monitoring in high-range beta and gamma fields. |

Isotope Identifiers
LUDLUM provides isotope identifier with an internal/external NaI/LaBr detector provides end users like first responders a simple tool to quickly locate any abnormal levels of radioactivity and accurately identify the isotopes present.
The 700-Series employs time-slicing and patented Quantum Compression Conversion (QCC) technology that delivers improved energy resolution, real-time background subtraction, and the highest degrees of sensitivity. Trace amount of 40K are embedded to provide gain stabilisation and self-calibration. All captured spectra data are stored to a removable compact flash card in ANSI N42.42 standard format. These units have a trace amount of 40K embedded to provide gain stabilisation and self-calibration. |

Neutron Meters
LUDLUM provides portable neutron meters with a cadmium-located polyethylene sphere surrounding a 3He detector of various sizes (according to the purpose of the meter).
The neutron detector is designed to detect thermal and fast neutrons . Neutrons are detected indirectly through nuclear reactions, which result in energetically charged particles. |

Pocket-SizeD
LUDLUM provide different variation of the pock-sized survey meters of the Model 2401 Series that is targeted for very specific types of radiation detection (i.e. gamma, alpha, beta, x-ray, etc)
Most of the Model 2401 Series are 3-Range Analog Meters, with the only exception of Model 2403. |

Stretch Scopes
Stretch Scopes are designed to survey areas for various radiation while maintaining distance from potentially high radiation fields. One of the design includes external detectors mounted at the end of a 4.7 m (15.3 ft.) carbon fiber telescoping pole, allowing the detector to reach areas difficult to access with other types of instruments. The meter body is made of durable, high-impact plastic with splash-resistant construction for outdoor use.
The other design includes having a one-size detector with a built-in telescoping Stainless Steel Pole that is extendable up to 3.6m (12ft). A clip-on adjustable shoulder strap is included. The instrument handle may be removed, thereby reducing the collapsed length from 105.9 cm (41.7 in.) to 92 cm (36.2 in.) for easier transport and storage of the instrument. |
