CIP-ABCDTeraHertz Air Based Coherent Detection (CIP-ABCD) is a radical new technique that uses airplasma to both generate & detect ultrabroadband terahertz radiation.
With CIP-ABCD it is possible to reach bandwidths in excess of 20 THz limited only by laser pulse duration with no phonon absorption or damage threshold because no solid material is involved in the generation or detection. ZAP-APDThe ZAP-APD detector module is a device for measure ultra-broadband THz pulsed utilizing the air biased coherent detection (ABCD) technique. This module is a subsection of the ZAP-ABCD.
Terahertz time-domain spectrometer, and purchasing it separately provides an economical path for broadband coherent THz detection. Bandwidths from 0.1 THz spanning out to 30 THz have been demonstrated using this system, but is limited by the specifications of the laser and the THz generation source. |

ABL-100Among various photonic approaches to detect broadband THz waves, the most common methods are Electro-Optic (EO) and photoconductive sampling.During many experiments, the balance point changes with distortions to the probe beam.
To compensate, the operator will typically rotate the QWP manually to move balance point back to the position near zero. For experiments in vacuum or inert gas, manual adjustment is not practical because the system is in the sealed chamber, making the QWP stage inaccessible. The best solution is to use an ABL-100 auto-balanced detector, which will automatically rotate the QWP to maintain balance in the system. |
