circular dichrometer
Chiral molecules occur naturally in most organic molecules. Circular Dichroism (CD) is the spectroscopy method that uses circular polarised light and measures the difference between absorption between left and right-handed light.
Today, the capabilities of Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectroscopy has advanced far beyond. Historically used to subjectively assess α-Helix and β-Sheet content of biomolecules; the new generation of CD spectrometers now offer much more information.

Chirascan™
The first generation and the original product, Chirascan™ is first released since its publication from 2005.
Most often used for analysing all types of chiral molecules and biomolecules, the Chirascan data help contributes to a deeper understanding of biomolecular characteristics, mechanisms and interactions. Chirascan also contains its in-house analysis software. The software is capable of measuring different parameters while it also self-check, making sure all components of the CD is in mint condition. *CHIRASCAN is now no longer available |
FEATURES
Gain insight and detect changes in secondary and tertiary structure Determine response to thermal or chemical change Study folding and unfolding mechanisms Expand capabilities with dedicated Chirascan accessories |
Chirascan VX
Suitable for studying chiral molecules of all types and sizes, this Chirascan CD spectrometer has featured in thousands of publications since its introduction in 2005.
Often used to analyze biomolecules, Chirascan data contributes to a deeper understanding of biomolecular characteristics, mechanisms and interactions. |

Chirascan™ V100
The V1oo is the improved version from the first generation Chirascan™.
The enhanced & heightened sensitivity and accuracy of the V100 ensures a deeper and more holistic understanding of biomolecular characteristics, mechanisms & interactions. Chirascan V100 ensures that researchers get the most from every CD analysis, generating high-quality data that continues to contribute to the more in-depth understanding of biomolecular characteristics, mechanisms and interactions. |

Achieve highest sensitivity and accuracy Gain insight and detect changes in secondary and tertiary structure Determine response to thermal or chemical change Study folding and unfolding mechanisms Expand capabilities with dedicated Chirascan accessories |
Chirascan™ Q100
The Q100 provides detailed insight into the Higher-Order Structure (HOS) characteristics of complex biomolecules.
The Q100 is also much more efficient; fully integrated with the unattended operation, it can analyse 48 buffer-sample pairs over 24 hours. (An experienced operator processes up to 14 samples per day on a manual system.) Reproducible robotics is combined with high-performance circular dichroism spectroscopy to generate quality data compatible with the most rigorous statistical analysis methods — the result: objective, statistically-validated HOS comparisons. |
FEATURES
Automatically averages/baseline correct Satistical analysis for HOS comparison Fully self-functioning |
Although not often not used as a monochromater, the circular dichrometers do possess monochromatic properties.
